How the vehicle layout changes setup
The Model Y opens at the rear hatch onto one cargo area. The Model 3 loads through a sedan trunk opening, and its folded seats drop further to the trunk floor. Frequently asked questions
Can I use a Model Y mattress in a Model 3?
Not well. Snuuzu says its Model Y version does not fill the deeper Model 3 dip, so the hips sink slightly, and its Model 3 version lifts the hips slightly in a Model Y. Havnby FlatCore and NovaPads sell no Model 3 version, and Tesla sells a separate mattress for each car.
Which Tesla is better for car camping?
For sleeping, the Model Y: its hatch opens onto one cargo area, and fitted Model Y mattresses run up to 205 cm. A Model 3 works with a sedan-specific mattress such as the Snuuzu Model 3 or Tesla’s 2024+ mattress, but you load it through the trunk opening.
How do I know whether the usable length is enough?
Use the product’s published sleeping length and measure your own sleeping position with the front seats where they will stay overnight. Allow for the pillow and the hatch or trunk curve.
Is there a mattress that fits both Model Y and Model 3?
Havnby CloudCore is the one we cover: one 193 × 132 × 11.5 cm size, sold with separate Model Y and Model 3 options, but Havnby warns it may stay sloped in a Model 3. Snuuzu and Tesla sell separate versions for each car.
Do 2024/2025 refresh models use the same mattresses?
