What we check
Each mattress goes through the same process:
- Published-spec verificationWe check every dimension, material, weight, pump type and warranty term that we reproduce against a linked manufacturer or seller source. Missing fields stay unknown. Where sources disagree, we flag the conflict.
- Fitment analysisWe compare published dimensions with the seller's stated vehicle fit, year range and fit diagram. We do not publish our own cargo measurements, so we tell readers to measure their car.
- Owner reportsWe compare owner reports from Tesla Motors Club, Reddit and retailer reviews. We give more weight to patterns that recur than to single reports.
- Price and code recordsProduct prices are dated snapshots. Discount pages show the most recent checkout-check date in our log, and we do not move that date forward during a copy-only update.
- Operator ownershipThe operator owns the Snuuzu Model Y, the Havnby FlatCore and the FlatCore Solo. Those reviews link the operator’s YouTube videos and keep the operator’s experience separate from seller claims. We did not test the other mattresses.
The evidence we compare
We compare every mattress on the same five evidence areas:
- Comfort evidence
- Published thickness and materials, plus recurring attributed owner reports; not our own sleep test
- Construction evidence
- Materials, published warranty and any documented durability record
- Fit evidence
- Vehicle-specific dimensions, generation/model-year claims and unresolved fit gaps
- Setup evidence
- Pump type, required steps and clearly attributed setup-time claims
- Value evidence
- Dated price, included equipment, terms and credible alternatives
How Our rating is set, in full. The editors fix three ratings: Snuuzu Model Y 97, Snuuzu Model 3 96 and the best-scoring Havnby, the FlatCore, 83. Every other mattress gets a points total out of 100: build 30 (thickness and foam), insulation 10, pump 15, Tesla fit and sleeping width 15, dated US price 15 and documentation 15. A missing fact earns no points, and an owner-tested product gets full documentation points. We then scale those totals in a straight line to 65–82, so no other brand can rate above 82. Snuuzu and Havnby, the brands with fixed ratings, make the mattresses the operator owns, and both pay us a commission.
Evidence levels
Every mattress in our comparison table carries one evidence level. The level says what the facts on its page rest on, so you can see how much we could check.

Our rating
Our rating is the one number we show for each mattress. It runs from 65 to 97. The editors set it. It is an editorial judgement, not a measurement and not a lab test.
- What it draws on. The operator has used a Snuuzu Model Y since 2025 (one-year video review, 11 May 2026) and also owns a Havnby FlatCore and FlatCore Solo. We also use published specs, dated prices and the Tesla fit that each seller states.
- Snuuzu is at the top. Snuuzu Model Y, Our pick, has Our rating 97. Snuuzu Model 3 has 96, because it uses the same layered build as the Model Y.
- Havnby FlatCore is next. Havnby FlatCore Foam Mattress has Our rating 83, also set by hand. Every other mattress, other Havnby models included, is scaled to 82 or below.
- Every other mattress gets 65 to 82. We place each one by its published build (thickness, layers, insulation, pump), its dated price and its fit for each Tesla model. We never guess missing data. A missing fact lowers the rating.
- We earn a commission. All three hand-set ratings belong to Snuuzu and Havnby. The operator owns mattresses from both brands, and both pay us a commission when you buy through our links. Read the rating with that in mind.
Our rating is not in the page’s structured data, so search engines do not show it as stars. Each review shows the date of its price and its source check.
How we choose our pick
Our pick Our pick is an editorial choice. The operator bought a Snuuzu Model Y in 2025, has used it since then and published a one-year video review on 11 May 2026. It is the deepest Model Y mattress we cover: 20 cm and five layers. In Snuuzu’s words, you sleep on a real mattress and the air underneath only does the leveling. Snuuzu Model Y has Our rating 97.

How prices and codes are dated
A price or a code is only true on the day we checked it. So each one carries that date.
- Prices are dated snapshots. We show the date we read the seller's page. We do not claim a price is current.
- Codes carry their confirmation date. A discount page shows the date the code was last confirmed working, plus any cart test in our log.
- Dates do not move on copy edits. We do not move a check date forward when we only change the wording.
- Codes are not hidden by age. A date is information. Every partner code stays on its page with the date it was last confirmed.

These are the limits of our method. Read our pages with them in mind.
- No hands-on lab
- We do not run controlled sleep tests. The operator owns a Snuuzu Model Y (video review, 11 May 2026) and a Havnby FlatCore and FlatCore Solo (video review, 15 July 2026). Those review pages quote the operator’s reported experience with attribution. They do not turn it into measurements.
- Owner-report bias
- People with strong opinions review more often. We weight recurring themes to compensate, but the underlying data skews toward extremes.
- Spec accuracy
- We rely on manufacturer-published dimensions and materials. When vendors change products without notice, reviews can lag until our next verification pass.
- Durability horizon
- Long-term durability signals come from owner reports, which rarely extend past two seasons of use.
- Subjective comfort
- Comfort differs from one sleeper to the next. Owner-report patterns are context, not a guarantee for any individual sleeper.
Corrections
We update an analysis when a source, a product, a fit claim or an evidence status changes.
