Buy the Model Y version for a Model X or a 2021+ Model S; not for an older Model S
Snuuzu sells only Model Y and Model 3 mattresses. Its FAQ and its dedicated Model X page, read on 16 September 2026, say the Model Y version fits the Model X with a little space at the sides and is used by owners of the 2021-refresh Model S and newer. Snuuzu does not recommend it for a pre-2021 Model S because the folded seats leave a sizeable step, and has no Cybertruck product. The mattress costs $899 / €899, and in the US store it cannot be returned once the seal is broken, so a Model X or Model S buyer has no fit test after purchase.
What Snuuzu actually says about the Model X
Snuuzu’s Model X page opens with the question most owners ask and answers it directly: yes, the Model Y mattress can be used in a Model X. The page says the company tested it on multiple trips, that the Model X cargo area is close in size to the Model Y’s, and it shows installation photographs, a video and three customer quotes. One of those quotes is the honest part: a Model X owner reports “a little space on the sides”. The page then sells the Model Y bundle at $998, which tells you there is no separate product, only a recommendation.
The FAQ, read the same day, adds the Model S. Owners of the 2021 refresh and newer use the Model Y variant; on a pre-2021 Model S the folded rear seats leave a sizeable step, and Snuuzu does not recommend the mattress there unless the owner builds a small platform to bridge it. Cybertruck: “not yet”.
If you drive a Model X
- Choose the Snuuzu Model Y if you want a 205 × 130 cm full-width surface with a 20 cm profile, a washable cover and an integrated pump, and you accept a gap at each side because the Model X cabin is wider than the mattress.
- Measure first. Fold the seats, park level and measure the usable floor length from the front seatbacks in your normal driving position to the tailgate. Snuuzu publishes 205 cm for the mattress; it publishes no Model X-specific dimensions, so the comparison is yours to make.
- Expect a cross-fit, not a contour. The air layer is shaped for the Model Y’s folded-seat step. In a Model X the step differs, so the leveling the mattress delivers is whatever the adjustable air layer can absorb, not a designed match. Snuuzu’s own photographs are the only fit evidence; it publishes no gap measurements.
- Compare the dedicated options. Our Model X mattress guide lists the other products we cover for the Model X and their fit caveats.
If you drive a Model S
- 2021 refresh and newer: Snuuzu says owners use the Model Y mattress and sleep well on it. The company offers no dimensions for the refreshed Model S floor either, so measure as for the Model X. Ask Snuuzu in writing to confirm fit for your model year before you order; the reply is your evidence if the delivered mattress does not fit.
- Before 2021: do not buy it for this car unless you are prepared to build a platform. Snuuzu says the step left by the folded seats is too large, and suggests a small platform to bridge it if you still want to use the mattress there.
Price and code on 16 September 2026
The mattress a Model X or Model S owner buys is the standard Snuuzu Model Y: $899.00 in the US store and €899.00 in the EU store, or $998.00 / €998.00 with two pillows. The code AWDCAMPER reduced the US cart to $809.10 and the Norway-storefront cart from €719.20 to €647.28 that day (Snuuzu prices Norway 20% below the EU list because import VAT and duties are paid on delivery). The discount page has the checkout steps.
The return rule is the real risk for a cross-fit buyer
A Model Y buyer can rely on Snuuzu’s explicit fit statement. A Model X or Model S buyer relies on a cross-fit recommendation, which makes the return rule decisive. Snuuzu’s US refund policy, read on 16 September 2026, requires the mattress unused with the plastic seal unbroken; once the sealed packaging is opened, a mattress cannot be returned unless it is defective or damaged on arrival. The EU policy is different: the buyer may unpack and inspect the mattress as in a shop, and Snuuzu may deduct for diminished value if it has been used beyond that. Both stores give 14 days after delivery to request a return and exclude sale items.
So a US Model X owner who opens the bag, lays the mattress out and finds the side gaps unacceptable owns a $899 mattress. An EU owner can inspect it and return it at their own freight cost. Read the full return-policy answer, and in the US keep the seal intact until the measurements above convince you.
What the Model X gains and loses against the Model Y
| Factor | In a Model Y | In a Model X (cross-fit) |
|---|---|---|
| Fit statement | Explicit: all Model Y incl. Juniper | Recommendation with photographs; “a little space on the sides” |
| Width | 130 cm mattress in a cabin it was shaped for | 130 cm mattress in a wider cabin; gaps at the sides |
| Leveling | Air layer shaped for the Model Y step | Air layer absorbs a different step; no gap data published |
| Doors | Conventional rear doors | Falcon-wing rear doors |
| Storage | Snuuzu says the 74 × 32 cm bag fits the Model Y sub-trunk | Model X has no equivalent statement from Snuuzu |
| Price | $899 / €899 | Same product, same price |
Skip the Snuuzu cross-fit if…
- You own a pre-2021 Model S and do not want to build a platform.
- You are in the US and will not accept a purchase you cannot try and return.
- Side gaps would bother you; the Model X cabin is wider than any Snuuzu.
- You want a product whose maker publishes Model X dimensions and a Model X fit guarantee.

Model X and Model S questions
Does Snuuzu make a Model X mattress?
No. Snuuzu makes a Model Y and a Model 3 mattress. Its Model X page recommends the Model Y version as a cross-fit and shows it installed, with a customer noting a little space at the sides.
Will the Snuuzu Model Y fit a Model S?
Snuuzu says owners of the 2021 refresh and newer use it. For a pre-2021 Model S the company does not recommend it because the folded seats leave a large step.
Can I return it if it does not fit my Model X?
In the US store only with the seal unbroken; an opened mattress is not returnable unless defective. In the EU store you may inspect it as in a shop and return it at your own freight cost within 14 days.
Is there a Snuuzu for the Cybertruck?
No. Snuuzu’s FAQ says “not yet” and invites owners to ask to be notified.
