The myth: a refreshed car needs a refreshed mattress
The Juniper refresh changed the Model Y’s front and rear lights, its interior trim and its seat controls, and owners assumed the cargo floor changed with it. Snuuzu addressed the question directly in a guide dated 18 August 2026, which we read on 16 September 2026: the current Snuuzu Model Y mattress belongs to one fit family that covers both the 2020–2024 Legacy car and the 2025+ Juniper. There is no revision check, no invoice hunt and no adapter. If the mattress is a Snuuzu Model Y, the generation question is settled.
What actually changed
The rear seats have folded electrically from buttons in the trunk since the Model Y launched in 2020. Juniper added an electric return: the seatbacks can be raised again from the side switch, the rear screen or the front touchscreen. In a 2024 or earlier Model Y you lift them by hand. That is the whole difference for a mattress owner, and it affects the morning routine, not the sleeping surface. The mattress itself is unchanged: 205 × 130 cm, 20 cm maximum profile, 10.6 kg, packed into a 74 × 32 cm attached bag.
How to check your own car
Fold the rear seats, clear the footwells and lay the mattress out with the shaped air layer over the seat-to-trunk transition, as in our setup guide. Inflate, then bleed air through the firmness valve until the surface feels level. If the head end sits high, move the front seats forward a notch rather than under-inflating the whole mattress. Snuuzu publishes no angle measurements for either generation, so the level check is yours.
The Model Y variant Snuuzu has not confirmed
The six-seat Model Y L adds a third row and changes the folded floor. As of 16 September 2026 we found no statement on the Model Y L in Snuuzu’s compatibility FAQ, so treat it as unconfirmed and ask the company in writing before ordering. Price for a Juniper owner
The mattress is the same product at the same price: $899 in the US store listing and €899 in the EU store on 16 September 2026, or $998 / €998 with two pillows. Read the return rule for your store before opening the seal: the US store does not take an opened mattress back.
